well .. if the rotor looked like that, could you fix the rust on it? or would u need to replace it?

 

Can't see the pic in detail, but when I used to leave my car parked for weeks at a time (out of town), surface rust will appear. If that is just surface rust, drive it around for a while. The brake pads will clean it all off.

Or, you can spray a bunch of brake parts cleaner and use some elbow grease.

 

Yeah if you don't like the rust, steel wool will take care of that.

take it for a spin and slam on the breaks a few times and bye bye rust....mine rust up every night when it rains...

 

Mine rust too, but not to that extent.

If your worried about it, pull them off and take'm down to your local checker to have them turned.
Around here it only costs $10 a side.
