Quick question about balance shaft belt removal
Hey guys
Well, ive searched through all of the balance shaft belt removal threads, yet i still cant picture in my mind where and what exactly im going to be removing. I took a look inside the engine bay the other day, and i couldnt find anything that resembled balance shafts or the belt. Is there a diagram of the front end of an H22 with all of the accessories and thier belts drawn that someone could post up? A picture is worth a thousand words
. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

its under the cover that the accesory pullyes sits infront of, you have to take the main crank pulley of to see the belt.
Yeah, there's a cover over it, so you can't see **** until you take off the crank pulley and the belt cover. It's near the bottom.
Damn, i didnt know the balance belt was so hard to get to. Oh well, im glad i asked first before i started ripping things apart looking for it. I think im just gonna do it when i get my pullies...whenever that will be. Sure, it would be easy as hell just to cut the belt, but im not sure if im gonna like all the added vibration. Thanks again guys.
depending on what engine it is.
at the back of the engine just above the the n/s driveshaft there is a 14mm bolt which you take out and place a long drill bit or somthing similer in when you have the engine timed up. if you do this you will not have any problems with the timming of the balencer belt.
also the balencer belt is not tight like the timming belt and the adjuster also is the adjuster for the timming belt.
one word of warning the crankshaft pully bolt my be very difficult to undo, especilly if it has not been undone before.
why honda do them as tight as they do is beond me but every one that i have undone for the first time of its life i have had to get a long breaker bar and then put a 6ft scaffold bar over that and still had to use all my strength.
so good luck

The added vibration is so small, you don't even notice unless you put your hand on the dash and feel for it....
