92 Integra CV Boot
Aight my friend just bought a 92 Integra with a very baddly torn CV boot. I am trying to tell him that it would be alot faster to do the whole axle.....but he is set on just the CV boot.....Anybody know the install time and some what of directions on how to go about it......
Well you need to buy the tool and the boot. Probably end up spending about $20. He could just get a new one for about $50-65. Just my opinion. As for install time. Longer than replacing the axle. Just take the axle out. Pop the c-clips, remove the CVs clean the hell out of everything and reassemble. It's very easy to do. Unless the boot was just ripped recently and the cv joint has not dried up I would strongly recommend getting a new one. By new I mean rebuilt becuase I would really like to know where to find a new one for $50-60.
Of course if these are the outter boots we are talking about then those are a pain in the *** and yeah just get a new axle.

The only time I'd replace just the boot, is when it HAS NOT YET broken open. Once it's open there's gonna be dirt in there.
