Default Johnnyracecar / Tyrus Intercooler - New dimension - would it work for Integra?

Hello all,

I noticed that Johnnyracecar / Tyrus just came up with a new offer of intercoolers (7.75" core height)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33742

Measurements:

Core size: 25 wide X 7.75 tall X 2.75 deep
Overall: 30 from outside of end tank to outside of end tank X 8.5 tall X 3.125 at the widest
Piping: 2.5 OD X .065 wall X 2 long

I am considering using this intercooler for my t3/t04e project in a LS. Target hp is 350whp. Is this IC too big for my application?

Also, judging from the dimension, would I have trouble fitting it behind the Integra bumper cover? Perhaps taking off the bumper support is required for this IC?

Thanks! Any comment is appreciated!

Derek

with the 6 inch it barely fits..if your cars dropped your going to kill it on the first speed bump..you have to notch out the bumper support...

Yeah, that's too tall for a teg, you'll have to either notch or remove the bumper beam and cut out the splash guard on the bottom of the bumper shell.

Anyone got a pic of this? I've got a g3 teg and a JRC IC. My car is dropped 2 inches, I'm a bit concern.

Yep, a 6" will tuck perfectly into the bottom of the bumper. 8" and youre either going to be below the bumper or youre going to have to cut the bumper support to fit it.

My 7 Inch Barely fits under my radiator support, fits fine tuck away with my bumper though.

Did you look at the overall height?
"Overall: 30 from outside of end tank to outside of end tank X 8.5 tall X 3.125 at the widest "

Thats tooooooo tall ! His intercooler is looking nicer and nicer by the day. Good stuff.

Up.. any more comments are welcome!

I assume this 8"-tall intercooler would require bumper re-bar removal..
