im runnin a stock jdm M2B4 tranny in my prelude... is holdin up fine... i havent launch it yet.. but soon enough i will..

 

how much horsepower , Jaxx4k? It would be good to see how it takes 350 and up on the strip...Anyone else runnin' this set-up?

 

I ran a stock M2B4 in my car for a while. It was in the car for about a year and a half. It worked great. I figure I had about 40-50 hard launches on it and about 10,000 street miles. I'd launch at 6000 rpm, 7-9 psi off the line, 1.6-1.7 60' times, 2500+ lb car. I stripped three teeth off of 2nd gear about a month ago just driving it normally on the street, but I'm sure the track time had a lot to do with it. I now have that LSD in a USDM M2F4 with my old M2B4 5th gear. Not because I was trying to get creative with ratios, but because this was the only bastard combo I could throw together in time to make it to the Vegas NHRA race.

Sounds good, very creative Tyler. This is the first I am hearing that a m2b4 lsd, can fit in a usdm 4th gen prelude trans... I have one in my 94 lude usdm vtec...The discussions I checked out said the m2b4 lsd can only be used on the jdm m2b4 tranny. So you are positive you are running the lsd on the M2F4 (usdm) that came stock with the H22A1....If so then I can save money and run that set-up.

sorrie i didnt see this message sooner...im makin bout 300-330 whp.. it held up find.. i didnt RUN it HARD but i gave it a few practice launch.. it spins well.. n i ran a 350z heads up.. it held up very good... n im bostin 11 daily n 15 for fun...
