Default Honda Coolant in Other Car Makes??

Looking for insight into running geniune Honda coolant in a e36 BMW m3 engine. Based on what i've seen on the boards, OEM honda coolant seems far superior to anything out there. Or is it?
Any thoughts? Opinions?

Interestingly, BMW spec coolant sucks for USA engines....many many problems with premature waterpump & radiator failures. My car had been run on Prestone II since new [not OE BMW] but I've googled & read mixed opinions based on Prestone phosphate content.

TIA

It's got a lot to do with the mix of wetted metals in your system. Try G-05, it's supposed to be pretty good. I've heard that the real problems come from inadvertantly mixing types. The anti-corrosion packages aren't very compatible with each other. It's especially bad if you mix carboxylic acid types (DexCool) with anything else. The real trick is rinsing many times so ALL the old stuff is gone. Some types tolerate tap water better than others, but I just use distilled water to be sure.
