Default car won't start when its hot....

ok guys and girls, any help would be appreciated....after letting my car sit for maybe an hour or 2, and it gets pretty hot inside the car and when i go to start it, it cranks but will not start. I just replaced the dizzy and everything a few months ago so that can't be it. it also does it after i drive and get out and then get back in like 5-10 mins later ex: getting gas. Its just really bugging me when i have places to go and i have to wait and sit there after a few minutes until it decides to start up! also the check engine light comes on so I don't know whats going on? any help is welcome! thanks!

That sounds very similar to a main relay problem. Supposedly, the sautering in the main PGMFI relay on early 90s hondas was faulty, so a lot of people have had to replace them ($40-50) or resauter them ($5). Here are some threads about it:

damn, that would suck, having to sit in a hot car and not being able to start it!

it starts eventually...I think the longest I had to sit was 5 or 10 minutes....

don't turn it off whenever you go somewhere that you know you're going to be there for less than a few minutes. you don't even have to turn it off at the gas station, just let it run while you're pumping.

this is just a temporary solution until you find out what the problem is....sorry I couldn't be more help to you

I have a 92 teg and I have the same problem, on hot days. One day it wouldnt start so I pulled out a spark plug to check if it was fine. But that was when I noticed that no gas was going in the engine while trying to start it up. Now when it wont start I just keep on pressing the gas pedal for a while til gas gets and it starts instantly. I dont know if this is a good thing to do to my car, but it seem to work for me.
