Default So... my car runs w/o the resistor box

So i was in a lower income neighborhood fixing one of my pap's duplex home and figure i should unplug sumtin so no one can steal my car when i had to make a run to the store with the van. well i unplugged the resistor box thinkin, with no electrical signal to the injectors, it shouldnt run. Well i guess i was wrong cuz i drove home with it unplugged for like 25min. Is this possible? im guessin it is cuz the car ran prefectly fine.

Weird, I had a pin fall out of a connector (of the resistor box) and the motor had a miss in it.
