Default Type R swap on ebay

Long time reader, first time poster.
I'm pricing type r swaps on ebay and I've been doing it for several weeks. I've seen them go for around $3000, but I'm pretty sure they are bogus deals, wanting money orders and wire transfer while hiding bidder id's.

Here are a couple of current links:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...46098

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33615

I've seen these two do business on ebay before. Same ads, some same pics.
Can these guys be trusted?
Has anybody done business with them?

Its your perrogative to trust random people on ebay with 10 dealings all prior to feb 2004 and wanting payment in only forms of untraceable currency.

No ****! Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Correction in this case: You may not even get what you pay for.

BTW: "32 Km" my ***. How could they prove that with no ecu or cluster?

Go buy an R... dont do a swap. BTW-- both links have pictures of motors without VIN plates. The way I figure, if you buy a motor for a swap without a VIN plate, you are supporting the jacking of our R's.. If the motor was legit, then there is no need for the VIN plate to be removed.

with all these scams going on... I wouldnt send someone $4,000+ for a motor across the country...it should be local pickups where you can meet up with them.....I suggest if you do plan on purchasing a motor, get it off some sites like passwordjdm.com or so....some place of business where if something goes wrong..you can contact a lawyer to contact their shop or so....

Yeah, after dealing with so much BS from people, I'm only going to deal with local pickup and HT members.
This is a good one: I told a guy on ebay who lived in New Jersey that I was going to bid and win his type r swap (with less than 7500 miles ) and I would come pick it up. I noticed his pic was of a right hand drive car. He said yeah its his car but a lot of modification had been done to get the engine to fit. He said as you well know all you have to do is redo some lines and hoses to get it to work. I emailed him several times saying he is a liar and somethin isn't "right" here and then he pulled the auction several minutes later. What the hell.

Thanks for stearing me away from ebay.

They are jdm swaps though mang.......in which case there is no Vin plate attached to the tranny like there are for the usdm ITRs. The identification tag on jdm ITRs is a small plaque on the frame of the car close to the hood latch! I understand your hate towards thieves but buying a jdm ITR motor is legit. Not everyone has the money to go buy an R.....not to mention that a hatch is sick as hell with and ITR motor in it!
