1) I am not sure about the warrenty, I am sure that it may have some effect, just call and ask and don't tell them who you are and finally if in doubt throw your stock intake back on when you take it to the dealership

2) Also I don't think you will have any problems with the Intake passing smog, I am not from CA and we don;t have smog, but I know people in CA that have way more than an intake, but having the CARB sticker on there will help

Just FYI, if the "BRAKE" light comes on even when the E-brake handle is down, check your brake fluid. It's probably low. That's an indicator for it.

As for the warranty issue.....TECHNICALLY, it should not make a difference, but depending on the dealer, they might give you grief for it. If you decide to take it further, there is a certain clause (I don't remember the name) that is in your favor. You can bring it up if they give you problems.

Most likely, just an intake won't upset them.

An intake will not void your warranty. I also have a 2000 gsr, and today I took it in for an oil change and valve adjustment. After the service was done they gave me a rundown of the level of my fluids, brakes, tires and air filter. And because my filter was an aftermarket filter (injen cai), they said it didn't need to be changed.

As for smog, don't worry about it.

I had an AEM intake and Comptech header.

my engine blew up (hole in the block) and Acura replaced it under warranty. They ruled out hydrolock and the ECU showed no sign of over-rev.

now, some dealers have a different attitude, but Honda probably won't deny coverage. Now, some dealers are such a-holes that they may deny on the spot without even asking Honda. Ask you dealer...if they deny, try another.

the brake light thing is on because you need a tad more fluid. my dealer added it for FREE.

intake should not affect smog.

anytime you change OEM parts the warranty for that object like the "Engine" will be void or pended.
