Default Can you name this Mitsubishi Turbo and wheres its from?

EDIT: BETTER PICS

I believe its a Mitsubishi TDO5-20G turbo but I am not 100% sure. Anyone know what cars these turbos came stock in because I need to look for a new one at a junkyard. Thanks

I think it's off of a Starion or Conquest. I'm think those are the only cars the 20g came on, here in the states.

The seals on the exhaust and compressor sides are blown, so i'll need a rebuild for sure. And they guy I got the turbo from welded the Downpipe and External wastegate directy to the exhaust side so i'll need to take it to a machineshop to have it shave down to normal again. And also there is a bolt with no head in one of the holes to mount an exhaust flange. I dont know if all this work is worth it or just to buy the same turbo from a junkyard since I already have a manifold and a exhaust flange for it.

Might be easier to swap in a T28.

The beauty of the DSM turbos is all of the inlet and outlet flanges are the same between the various turbos.

The DSM guys even made a special turbine housing that fits the DSM pattern and bolts to a T3:

It spooled up real nice on my dohc zc with only 5lbs of boost. I was ready to put in a walbro 255hp fuel pump and a safc-II hack in and up the boost to 9-10lbs but then a kink came up on the oil return line causing the seals to blow .

Thats an excellent idea, do you have a link to the DSM boards? I will definately try to find a exhaust housing rather than take it to a machine shop. Thanks.

I love the top end on the 20G i'll definately stick with it.

The guy I got the turbo from Welded the downpipe + external wastegate directly to the turbo. I decided im going to find a Exhaust Housing and use a Exhaust Flange for the Downpipe + External Wastegate.
