Cali smog test told me my ignition timing was off...so i went ahead and checked with a timing gun. Now i had to remove the cam cover which involved lifting the valve cover a bit. In doing so when i loosend the bolts one of the longer bolts broke off at the thread and the thread is lodged in there. Any recomendations on getting the thread out? Ive thought about taping the bolt but the bolt is fairly thin....
you shouldn't have to take the valve cover off to check the timing. As for getting the broken piece out, i suggest using one of those little extending magnets that you see in the check out bins in autozone or pep boys.
