car smokes... what is it??
ok here is the deal. my car smokes out of the valve cover all the time it drives ok, but if im cornering really fast the car smokes out of the exhaust. i have no clue what would cause that. i just want to know if you guys think its a head problem or a bottom end problem cause i want to reuse the head on the block i am putting together
blue smoke is oil, usually rings or valve seals
white smoke is coolant, usually caused by bad head gasket
black smoke is fuel, caused when the engine burns up excess amounts of fuel

haha i know its not a headgasket or it would be smoking all the time , not a warped head cause it would do it all the time after the car is warm and its not rich cause it would be all the time when im getting on it . so i know its oil im just wondering if its head related or block related cause i want to reuse my head
I hate to tell you dude...but basically the only thing that can make it smoke out the valve cover are bad rings or ringlands. I think that its possible for a clogged IACV to cause it so smoke out the valvecover. Anyway good luck with whatever it is
PS-id do a compression and leakdown test just to be safe
