Unless you have or will convert to OBD1 then neither will work for you.

Anyways here is your answer, as simple as it can be. The p30 is the DelSol ecu for the B16 motor. That ecu has the Knock sensor input and it's programmed for the B16.

Where as the p28 is for the SOHC Vtec motor, this one does not have the knock sensor input. And it's programmed for the SOHC motor.

People(like myself) get the p28 cause there is alot out there then p30. You just rechip the P28 and it would work the same minus the knock sensor.

But in your case, your car is OBD0 so unless your going to OBD1 then you need to get a PR3 or PW0 ecu for you applications.

I think the P28 was the SOHC VTEC motors and the P30 is the B16 one.
If you are going to get the swap sticker at the ref, then go for the P30 which I believe matches the B16 motor.

If not, then just get a P28 which is probably going to be easier to find and probably cost a little less.

Both are chippable as far as I know.
