p28 does not have a knock sensor.
Your car will not blow up, you might, but not the car...

From what I recall the p30 is a GSR ecu which has duel butterfly, which a B16A does not, is this correct, how were you running a p30 ecu then?

the p30 is a del sol b16 ecu, I can't imagine why the chip wouldn't work, but If someone knows for sure then I would really like to know.

if you don't rev the **** out of the motor then you should be fine. Actual P28 JUN chip is acutally a P30 chip, with disabled knock sensor.

P30 ECU = 92-5 Civic SiR/Del Sol VTEC

So why do you have two topics.

This is what eg6ajk post to your last topic asking the same question:

as far as ecu hardware/anatomy goes if you comapre the UDM P28 to USDM P30 (OBDI)...the differnce lies only in the lack of knock sensor board on the P28 (jumpers to activate it). software wise of course different maps for differnet motors.
for a P30 program to work in a p28, all you need to have is disabled knock sensor code on the program. p28 is compatiable with many different ECU programs (longest the knock sensor code is disabled), these include:
P72/P30/P08/P91/P75/PR4/P61/PR3-J01/P30-G and few others.

I spoke with the guy who I bought this chip from, and he told me the p28 JUN spec chip will not work on my p30 ecu. He would have to pay to mail the chip out again and that would take an effort to do it, so I think that this chip will not be useable...
