Need Help
I have a integra 96, and i ran in to a street full off water, MY engine just stall and i couldn't start the car anymore, A mechanic was able to start it and the engine is making a really bad noise, The mechanic says that i need a new engine and there is nothing he can't do. Can water damage my engine ?
Yes, if it got inside. Do you have a CAI? Any mods? I wouldn't see it being as bad if it were a stock engine. A little more detail about your car would help. If water comes in through the intake, it can bend rods and do all sorts of crap. A compression test wouldn't hurt.

Ouch that sucks... as for the value of the car, probably not much for just the shell. I would look into a new motor though, plain B18A or B doesn't cost too much. GL though.

I had a truck that i ran through a lake till it stalled and sucked up water. I let i dry out. Then put in new plugs, wires, cap, roter, coil swaped a couple of fuse's changed the oil six times with 10 mile drives on each change. Never went over 60 mph agian and could not bet a citybus in a 100ft strech. it backfired missed shat and farted but it lasted me another year till i sold it for $25
