89 b20a5 questions
so i got this car about a month ago and have been messing with it.well come to find out,the reason it won't start is because the fool who owned it b4 me trashed the new head he put on it because it had it out of time.Cylender #1 has 120 lbs compression #2has 0,#3 has 60 and #4 15.And also the head might be cracked since there is water in the oil.hopefully the pistons aren't damaged.
Anyway I was wondering if it is possible to use any B series head for it.Convert it to Vtec and how hard is it going to be if it's possible.I assume i'll have to do the ECU conversion if it is possible but i dont know anything other than that.
I didnt give anything for the car and the body only has minor surface rust (wich i can fix myself)and the interior is perfect. It needs Shocks/struts but it's in pretty good shape except for the whole not running part.

get in touch with Tom from http://www.Ludespeed.com
He built a succesful running B20A VTEC motor several years ago... He made his own custom head gasket for the project, from what I remember the OEM gasket wasnt an option at all...
edit: I just realized the site was down... Sorry

i wouldnt try it. going to cost you more then it would to drop a h22a in there... hell even a h22a euro motor.
pull the head and get a new one. it maybe though, that your head is cracked indeed.
get a used head and bolt it on.
