Default Fuel Pump Sixhundred thousand klicks 2000 Civic.

Yes my 2000 CX has over six hundred and fifty thousand kilometers on it, it runs great except recently it didnt start a couple of times in the morning, it starts now. So question about Fuel Pumps, if it was the fuel pump would the fuel pump be making a funny noise? There's no noise. I have replaced the fuel filter many times but maybe not in the last 120 thousand k, I lost track.

a failing fuel pump will generally cause low fuel pressure. get a fuel pressure gauge and attach it to the service port on the fuel filter to see if you're getting the right pressure

You might want to give that a try first, as well as possibly having your injectors cleaned. Have you been keeping up with the recommended maintenance procedures?

Who cares about the recommended procedures.. the car has 600.000 miles on it's back and I think it wouldn't run that mileage if it wasn't serviced properly...

Good luck with the following miles with your Marathon Civic

If you get to 1.000.000 maybe they'll give you a car of your choice for free...

Happened to one guy with the VW Golf... he got to 1.000.000 and they gave him the new car for free...

Great thing!

Big difference between a million miles and 1 million kilomters, I've got 655,000 kilomters. I did call Honda Canada, I have to call them back.

By the way I didn't do the recommended HONDA manual procedures for maintence and I did not do an oil change every 6 thousand kilometers, sometimes every 6 but mostly I went over, maybe even 20000 k at times.

I just bought a new 2004 civic sedan, they didn't bother asking me if I wanted the extended warranty ha.

I'll keep racking up the miles on the 2000 and see what happens.

My mistake... I was thinking kilometers and writing miles

Anyway, I was reffering to kilometers...

This guy with VW Golf had his car over 20 years and always servicing it in VW dealership... when he hit 1.000.000 kilometers, VW offered a brand new VW Golf whichever engine trim and additional goodies he wanted FOR FREE!!!

It would be cool if Honda would do something like that cos I know a few guys that might hit the million mark in the near future with their 20-year old Civics...

I don't think Honda does that cause thier cars will reach that.....I would assumse original engine and tranny or no dice.
This cop on the 405 didn't give me a ticket, he felt sorry for the amount of tires I have to buy ha..B
