last night i just picked up my car. the power is good, but one thing is when i go to red line it sounds like i have a blow-off valve. shhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooo. is there something wrong? or is that the new sound i get with port & polish?

 

hmmm is your throttle body gasket on good?

 

i don't know. i just got it back and i asked him why i get that sound. he said because i'm sucking in alot of air. is that true?

 

Pop the hood and pull the throttle cable and listen for the leak.

 

im pretty sure its your TB gasket, mine did the same thing, tighten up tour throttle body see if its loose, than my suggestion would be a new gasket. THats what happend to me, my engines port/polished also. Just that noise was comming from the TB gasket caused my the TB bolts backing themslevs out. Check make sure they are tight, check the gasket, than put some blue loc-tite on the threads if the bolts backed themselvs out.

I never saw those other posts, but wtf is your problem? wow I bitched at my paretns about a ******* car, big deal. Give it a rest. goddamn. I was trying to help him out, I had the same problem he did, that sound is most likely comming from the TB gasket or the Intake manifold gasket.

 

thanks for everybody’s help, but I don't think it's the TB gasket because the shop didn't take off the TB. I’m going to take a look at the the TB gasket just to make sure. does anyone else have any opinions on this problem? I need to know because if it's something else that's causing the problem I will take back the car a.s.a.p.

id take the car back anyway, its obvious its not supposed to be making that sound. no sense in doing any more work than you have to. if its a quality shop they will find out what the problem is and fix it for you.

I just called the shop and he told me to come in on Saturday, and he would have a look at it. I will keep everybody posted on what happens for the people that care.

I also think its the TB gasket tell us if that was it. I dunno if mine sounded like that I might leave it for a lil while just cause I love that BOV sound not to be a ricer just think it sounds cool
