Ok ive heard of people doing the oem airbox with like an AEM ram air arm.....but many have come to the conclusion that J's performs better.... so would it not make sence to put a J's arm on an OEM airbox?? Has this been tried? I did the search but after going back about 3 pages I figured I had seen enough... hehe..
dont u think itll be kind of a waste? cuz then u would have to go out and buy a k&n drop in and would have to do a bunch of pointless work that does hardly anything just for the "clean" look.
The inlet on the J's intake is huge, probably bigger than the height of the box itself. Also there's the factor of space under the hood.
Indeed. Have you measured the diameter of the inlet on the pipe. I used to have it. Seriously, my arm fit into it kinda snug which means the pipe is VERY large. We use short-ram piping like the (eBay or AEM) kind because you can adapt it to the airbox easily since the inlet diameter is roughly the same size + - as the OEM airbox outlet.
wont work because of the size of the j's intake. im sure it wont help either kill flow if anything.
if you want to try something that might work make a velocity stack thats sized to the j's intake
