Default Any one run Falken Azenis tires on a 15in rim on your rex?

I just got me a set of Azenis tires for my 15 inch rims. The tire size is 205/50/15 and they rub. When I bought the car it came with 17 inch rims with 205s on it and when I lowerd the car the tires would rub, so I rolled my fenders and cured the rubbin. But why are they rubbin now? They are prolly a inch smaller in diameter with the 15in rim compared to the 17in rim with a 40 series hight. I did a search and did find out that the Azenis are rated a lil smaller and are prolly a lil wider then 205s.

Just wondering if anyone was running this rim and tire setup with your Rex and what did you do to correct it?

Matt

Ive actually heard that Azenis underrates there tires a bit. Like a 205mm is really close to a 215

Ive got 205/50/15's on Slipstreams, lowerred 1.75 all around. Havent rubbed yet and I throw this bitch around

yeah, azenis are known to be big.

not just offset, but your wheel width also matters. a 7" wheel will stick out more than a 6.5" wheel, even if both had the same offset.

Running 15x6.5 with 205/50/15 Azenis. Not rubbing one bit. Lowered on Eibach springs.

I would be worried obout the inside of your wheel/tire rubbing your suspension!

atech final speeds 42-43mm offset can't remember right now and azenis, no rubbing at all. And my car is pretty low, but its setup for the track.I still drive it on the street though. Roll your fenders my friend. And azenis are very wide. We did a little comparsion the one day at the shop and the 205/50/15 azenis were a tiny bite wider then the 225/50/15 BFG g-Force T/A. And the azenis are better then the g-force and cost about $120 less, but thats besides the point. Did you roll your fenders yet?

Hmm, dont know the off set of my rims but they are the Tenzo R Sinkos. My car isnt that low either, I have the H&R sport springs. If you search (Archived) my name for posts that I have made you will come across a post I made with pics of my car. You can see how low my car is and my rims. I only have the rear tires on now, only got 2 in friday and got the otehr 2 in today so Im going to have them mounted tomorrow and throw them on in the front. They dont rub that bad, but I cant stand that noise and the fact that they are so Im goin to also roll my fenders again.

Thanks for the heads up guys.
