i've got a semi-local (2hrs away) guy who is selling a set of used kyb agx's. he says that they werent blown and were in good condition when he pulled them off the car. anyways, i was wondering if there is a way to test them to make sure. lemme know, i dont wanna get scammed. thanks.

I did the same thing. I tried to press them in and it was hard. I put them on the car and my car hardly even bounce.

push the shocks down together if its hard and pumps back up by itself

if it gets stuck and stays there or pumps back up really really (i mean really) slow then best save or scatter around for another set

when you push in the rod it should be smooth and with some resistance, not nochy(sic?) If you have a helms it has a good description of how to hand test a shock/strut

The only way to REALLY tell without putting them on the car is to take somewhere that has a shock dyno.
