Default My Del Slow

Okay new to the whole import scene guys so please bear with me and show some patience if you can. I really want to learn and have a nice car. I bought a 1994 Honda Del Sol SOHC. I hate the suspension in it, its like riding a bike with flat wheels. The car has a cheap after market exhaust and Air intake, with 17" Kuhmos on cheap rims. What can I do to beef my car up? With its light weight I know it can be made faster. Engines? Suspension? And any other advice is helpful. One question is, can I fit an h22 into a del sol? Would the wheels even be able to get traction if I could? Thanks for any and all help.

Newbie

P.S. Have between $2k - $4k to spend, but would like to start slow and build up!

best mod i ever did to my old hatch before the motor, was a decent suspension setup, haveing a car that handled well was a blast. so drive your car alittle then do suspension, save the motor until your confident in your car and your driving abilities

Guess thats where I get a little confused as to what I need suspension wise? Any certain brands better than others what parts should I be looking to replace? Should I go with a full polyurethane bushing kit? Coil Overs or new shocks and coils? Sh*t there are just so many questions. Searching through the old stuff to see if I can find some answer though.

Thanks for the help

i think the biggest thing for you would be to give a dollar amount your lookin to spend. because in the end it comes down to how much your willing to fork out. but if it were me with your del slow i would go with a boosted gsr with some suspension work and a decent tune. just my $.02. anyways good luck with the project.
