Default Distributer problems!!!

Well I've been having problems with my LS swap and I was going over everything today...

I pulled off my cap and my rotor was actually hitting contacts on the distributer cap!
Should I just go for a whole new distributer or is there a way to fix the rotor...
If I jiggle it back and forth there is almost 1/4 of an inch of play. Why? and what to do?

Yes just replace the rotor its not hard remove the small plastic cover if its original it'll be held on there with hex bolt if its not oe it'll probably phillips head. As for the slowness I think you have the same Problem I had My hesitation was bad and it was also causing me to feel like I had little power, but once I fixed it man it hauled . Are you getting any CELs?

it sounds like the bearing inside the distributer is bad. if you have and extra distributer with a bad sensor you could swap shafts. or just buy another distributer but try a rotor it is the cheapest solution.

You should be able to tell if its the shaft or rotor.... Hows the hesitation, did you try what I told you?

Well it ended up being the rotor...
The metal piece inside the plastic rotor piece was loose. EZ fix.
but now I need a new cap... pepboys didn't have any, I sure wish there were an autozone around.
