Default cold air intake

i have a cheap short ram right now , i can tell a diffrence in performance in hot weather the car sucks bad in it. I was wondering if i could add a piece to it , so its a cai , but does someone have pics of where it would go the hole for the stock pipe is pretty small.

This is what mine looks like. They had to cut a bigger hole for the pipe to go all the way down.

I have a question also.
Am I able to remove the bottom edn of my pipe below the bypass valve and put the filter on there to make it a short ram intake for when it is raining too hard or there is too much moisture. Thanks for help.

stupid small hole...but yeah, you can make it a SRI if weather gets too bad as long as you can find a filter that fits the pipe at its angle and proximity to the other areas of the car.

How would you make it fit? Won't the pipe bounce up and down or something since it won't be attached where the hole is no more? What tools would I need to do this?

it wouldnt be bouncing up and down because 1) you should have tightened the pipe on the throttlebody side tightly with the round bracket, and 2) since you have AEM, there should be a mounting bracket that holds the pipe in place

If I make it a short ram while its raining too much I would have to take off the mounting bracket. Would that be a problem? I tightened the pipe on the throttle body but thats all it would be attached to.

shouldnt be a problem at all. there will be slight movement from whenever you accelerate hard but nothing to worry about

and btw, why would you have to remove the bracket to make it a short ram?? is your bracket mounting on the 2nd pipe after your bypass valve?

Yeah the mounting bracket is on the 2nd pipe so I would have to take that off. Would that still be a problem?
