gaping rings?
what exactly does this mean?
and also, say you have your boreing your block to fit oversized CTR pistons (.25) then they hone your cylinders after they are done (which they usually do) doesnt the honing mess up how well the pistons seal, because it makes the cylinders slightly bigger? i think what im trying to ask is if they bore turns out to be slightly too big is there a way to fix it?

Gapping the rings means to adjust the gap between the ends of each piston ring by filing them down. The size of the gap depends on your setup. If you're going to use oversized pistons, give the machine shop your pistons, and tell them the clearances you want to run. They'll bore it, and then hone til you get that clearance.
