A/C Recharging guages
Unless you are retrofitting your Acc to use R-134, or have an A/C license, don't waste your money buying guages, for 2 reasons.
First, R-12 is ridiculously expensive. Around $30.00 a pound. Much cheaper to retrofit to R-134 (friendlier on the environment too).
Second, unless you have an A/C license, you can't purchase R-12.
If you do retrofit, they sell a recharging hose for R-134 that you attach to the 12oz.
cans. They even come with a guage. Cost about 6 bucks.

well, that's not exactly what he ask for..
you can use the guage and hose from R134 to pressure test your R12 system, all you need is one of those retro fitting, which only cost 4 buck or so.
i have a can of left over R12 if you need it, one can of 12oz should be enough
Retrofitting it with R134 is great but i dont want to spend money on my beater
If you are in cali, buy from me and use my hose for free
cough..i assume you are all professional licensed..cough

Thanks for the response(s). I used to own a Civic that was was R 12, so I bought a retro-fit kit. I never got around to doing it and have since gotten rid of that car and now have an Accord. And that unit has been retro-fitted to R 134. So now I have some R 134 cans that I can use but do not have any gauges to use when recharging. So my question is do either of you know where they can be purchased? I've seen some cans being sold with quasi-gauges (JC Whitney). Don't know if these are worth it. Please advise.
they sell those guages individually(20buck) but for a little bit more you can get the one with the hose and guage with the can already, plug and play
autozone, kragen, etc
