The big differece between nitrous/turbo/supercharger cams over all motor cams is not so much the lobe size but is more so the lobe seperation. The only problem with nirtous on a big cam that would really be an issue is intake reversion which would only really happen on a very large shot of nitrous and a head that doesn't flow well. Granted cams that are designed primarily for nitrous are a little better performance wise than one that is not. But with skunk2 stage 2 cams it really is tuning for nitrous. That is the tight thing about having DOHC is you can taylor your lobe seperation to your needs. Overlap is not very useful in a nitrous application.

Short answer:

Nitrous does not affect what cam you select. You should select the cam that best fits your motor when it is not on the bottle.

Nitrous does not behave like boost, therefore you don't need a special cam for it.

lots of nitrous profiles that ive seen emphasize lift and duration on the ex cam. improving the airflow out of the engine. a good set of nitrous cams are only as good as your exhaust system. i would go for a combination of the two. one that augment the other.
