do high flow cats make exhausts sound like ****. cause i have a greddy evo and it has 2 resonators on it and i was wonderin well my exhaust still sound the same if i did get a high flow cat?

the tone would get louder but it wont sound like ****, assuming, that you get a true high flow cat (carsound, etc etc) not the ebay versions which are resonated test pipes

 

yeah, cause my friend got one of those cheap ebay high flow cat on his integra and when he would get in vtec it would buzz and it sounded like ****. i wanna get a carsound or catco cat but i dont want it to sound like my friends exhaust in vtec. so the brand name ones wouldnt really change any difference in sound

 

i added a carsound high flow cat and it sounded great with my apexi world sport especially in vtec.

 

if you are only going with a 2.25" high flow cat (carsound, catco, etc), it wouldnt make a big difference (sound wise) since its only ~0.25" difference from stock. if you go anything 2.5"+, i'd say it would make a noticeable increase in sound decibal

yeah i use to have a test pipe and it would sound like there was a rock in a can at low rpms but the rattling went away after vtec
