Well if you blew the headgasket and warped the head, I would say warping the block would be a very good possibility. I suggest to bring the block and or head to a machine shop and have them resurface both the block and head then get back to putting it together.
when u say warping the block and taking it to a machine shop....do i have 2 take out the whole engine or does the block come out by itself....if so, about how long would it take if i have everything off, to actually get the block itself out.

This is going to be very long, tiresome, and frustrating. By the way you speak, I am guessing you have never done this before, and have a little knowledge of what's going on. If you warped the head, it will have an uneven (no perfectly flat) surface. If you were to remove the head, which takes a decent amount of time and just replace the head gasket, you would be putting a warped head on a warped block and trying to make a tight seal which won't happen and you will blow another head gasket in the future. If you have no experience in doing work like this, I reccomend you bring it to a reputable shop and have a professional technician do the work.
YEa i actually do know what a block is, and i already have the head and everything else off.....sorry to ******* ask a stupid little question and get people calling me a dumbass cuz i've never taken the block out/or the whole engine....so u could not be an ******* and just say yes the block can be taken out seperate from everything else, or no it can't, witch i don't think it can i was just making sure

Calm down, I can see why LSTEG96 wrote what he did, a little harsh but I see where he's coming from. The block is the engine, since you already have the head off it will be a little easier but you still have to remove the block. I would drop both the engine and trans to make it easy. I think you were trying to ask if you can remove only the engine block and not the trans? You could but I would just drop them both. Good time to upgrade the clutch, flywheel with the engine at the machine shop.

Lewcis, calm down, there are a lot of people that will flame you, just relax and ignore them, there are people here who will help you. Yes remove the tranny and block at the same time, that way it is much easier. Clutch and flywheel combos don't need to cost 600, it depends what kinda parts you are gonna use and how much you wanna spend. It's not a bad idea to do it while your head and block get resurfaced.
I don't really have the money tho, thats the thing(i don't even have a way to get the engine out depending how heavey it is)....and i can't take it to a garage rite now cuz everythings off i'm looking at pretty much bare block......theres a possiblity i could, but i don't even wanna take the block out if i don't have too......my dads friend might come over he owns a machine shop.........(i didn't overheat my car at all.....is that a better chance that my block isn't warped? even tho my head was?)
If your block is warped passed the tolerance, you have to deck it. To deck it, it's a complete disassembly, everything.
I doubt it's that bad that you'll need that kind of work though. Get a manual and they'll tell you the procedure for checking the deck and cylinder head surface. It's pretty easy if you have the tools.
If your really worried and want to get your head rebuild, get the head milled and I'm sure that'll be plenty. You probably could get away with just a HG change and make sure you change the orifice o-ring.

LSTEG96- Not the first time you've been a complete dick to someone on HT. People come here looking for info about Hondas and Acuras, most of which they have already bought. Granted he should research more (this is a great place to do it), avoid swearing and making other remarks that give away the fact that you're 17yrs old. Enough of that...said my piece.

WOW, the past 2 posts have made me actually want to come back here for advice and info....LSTEG96, made me feel like a complete a$$ because i must not know as much about cars as he does, aka, i never took a block out of my car....yea he does sound like hes 17, but i'm 17 too.....lets just say hes prolly the type that goes out at 2 in the morning and causes havic in his teg.....sorry if that offended you but atleast i wasn't the only one upset about your comments.....but anywho me and my dad checked my block today...i went out and bought a 18x8 piece of glass then put alittle oil ontop of my block...i sat the piece of glass down pushed litely where the headbolts would be then picked it up and it showed oil on the glass just like my block looks like....meaning i don't have any high spots or low spots.....is that a good enough test to see if i'm warped?

I'm not sure if that test would be good enough. Sounds like a good way of finding any real high or low spots, but it'd be hard to tell if there were more fine spots. I'd say for now take the head and see how warped it became after the blown head gasket. If the head is only slightly warped then your block may be ok. Hope for the best
