Default ***oem or aftermarket distributor???***

im in the process of looking for a distributor for my 95 b18c1 and have seen a couple of new aftermarket distributors for the same price of a used oem honda distributor. if i get the used oem one, i still need to get a new cap and rotor for it. the aftermarket one is not rebuilt and comes totally brand new. I was just wondering how u guys feel about aftermarket distributors and if you guys had any experience with them? should i go oem or aftermarket???? i would appreciate the help. TIA

I've heard good things about Distributor King (http://www.distributorking.com).

I just ordered a distributor for my 95 GSR from him. On their website it says its $199, but Honda Tech members get a 10% discount so it was $179 plus shipping (I got UPS Ground, and it was only 6.95). He also gives HT members a 3 year warranty instead of the usual 1 year.

I think thats a pretty strong price and warranty. The only downside to his distributors is that on some models, the OEM rotor/cap doesnt fit, and you have to order one from him.

OEM.................................but, there are certain auto stores that sell the exact replacement piece as the ones you get from the dealership. Khien ignitor, is a OEM replacement company.

The other guy that sells the aftermarket distributor seems to be a good deal. Especially if it has some 3 year warranty.

But keep in mind, just cause it say 3 year warranty, are you going to get it? Or get screw?

And the part where OEM cap & rotors won't work,,,,,,,,,,,eh, okay, whatever dood? You got my $$$..............not!
