wheel studs from autozone
I'm about to replace my rear wheel bearing, and i need some new wheel studs. Got some from autozone, and notice that they are only 36mm in length, and the stock one is quite a bit longer. Has anybody noticed this? Should i just put these wheel studs in and dont worry about anything, or should i invest in buying some honda ones. thanks
yes, as long as the lug nut fits on it and holds it to the rim it doesnt matter how long or short it is.
sometimes when i worked on cars brakes i would accidently hammer the lug instead of the rotor and damage the threads. instead of buying a new lug i would rotary tool the lug off where the thread was damaged making it shorter, thats about all it did was make it shorter, still worked fine.

i realize that with a shorter stud and with the lug nut im using, the threads doenst fully go in all the way, like only 3/4 of the thread on the stud is going into the lug nut. anybody else have n e other comments?
are you sure dude??? cause i've bought a few studs from autozone and they're the same as stock. go back and check with autozone to see if you got the right one. I just changed my studs last night and i compared one with one i got from the honda dealership. both were identical only the honda stud had a different color, maybe better quality to.
