im in the process of building up my b18b, and when i went to honda to order a b16 oil pump i thought of this question, b18b block, b18b head, has not been milled or decked, would i still be able to use the b18b timming belt? or do i need to get a b18c one? or isn't possible to use this oil pump unless i have a vtec head? ya know since the vtec heads are taller than non. thanks

 

you can use any b series oil pump.

 

so my ls timming belt wont have any problems with it? thanks

 

its a good upgrade to use DOHC VTEC pump on non-vtec...especially when going with LS/VTEC

dont worry about using a B16 belt. your not changing the timing belt sproket on the crank.

the timing belt has nothing to do with the oil pump........
