Which oil pump should I use for a high hp(500hp) B18B? Type R?

external oil pump...

other than that... just get a pro-drive gear and u should be good

if you use type R you must also use the R timing belt, just get your B18B with a pro drive gear as mentioned above, If you have a 96 or newer B18B the CFS will not work on the R pump.

i thought timing belts didnt matter for the oil pumps. i just thought if u used a R water pump u had to use the R timing belt

don't forget, GSR and Type R use the same water pumps and timing belts also. When you change oil pumps, you don't have to change timing belts.
