Default T3 4 bolt exhaust is a 3" possible

So I have a t3/t04e .63 hot side and a 4 bolt exhaust side. I have the 4 bolt flange and I am about to make my 3" DP, but I realize that 3" is cutting it way too close on the flange. It's such a tight fit that I think once I get bolts (I don't even know where to get bolts..if someone could help with that too) it won't bolt on because the 3" is so big on the flange. What have you guys with 3" and 4 bolt exhaust done to achieve this. Thanks in advance as usual H-T

I have a V-band adapter for 4 bolt MP style that goes to 3''. That should solve your problem. Excuse the down pipe in the pic. http://rs02.securehostserver.c...ull=1

Where do you buy this. My flange looks a little different...here's the link
It's 2.5 inside diameter of the flange and 3" from bolt hole to bolt hole...that's what I mean by tight fit...it'll work, but it's a tight fit for the bolts

I used one of these 2.5" -> 3" machined transitions. I Used allen bolts to bolt
the flange to the turbo. Its too tight a fit to use regular bolts, but the allens work
just fine.

get out the hammer/vise and crush the pipe where each hole meets the pipe. Done.
Vbands rock though, if you wanna swing the $

yeah with the t3 4 bolt dp we were barely able to get the 3" pipe to fit the flange... although somehow pulled it off, but you have to use all allen heads on it for clearance.

I would go with a transition like above if you dont choose the vband hotness.

What do you mean go with the transition like above? I guess I could hammer it in if that's what most people do. sorry I'm not really a tool nut i don't know what an allen head is. Does that mean it uses and allen wrench? why not a bolt? Thanks so far though

I asume you would just weld that transition piece between your 3" piping and flange.

an allen wrench is used on the allen head bolt... like this style

as opposed to...

which is hard to get a wrench on and would not turn once a side gets tight up to the dp.

I dont understand what other answers your waiting for?
Either your going to have to squash the pipe to fit, or use a 2.5-3" transition.
There really isnt any other way about it.
