suspension
planning to drop my car with eibach pro kit springs, but can't decide on whether to match it with kyb agx shock or tokico. Which one do your think is a better match? Please give as much detail as possible. Planning to drop the car by friday. The car is a 99 integra gsr. Thanks!
I have Tokico Illuminas and my buddy has the KYB AGX, we're both on Eibach Pros. We're both very pleased with our suspensions. Things that would sway my decision ?
1) Lifetime Warranty (I think both have em, I know 100% for sure Tokicos do)
2) I think the KYB AGX were a little cheaper
3) Tokicos Illuminas are 5 way adjustable - KYB AGX are 4 way
Both seem good

ive had both tokiko blues and kyb agx
1st the kyb does not support a warrany for drops over 2 inches.
yes they are adjustable but if you have it dropped over 2 inches you really cant use 2 of the 4 settings so your going to be pretty stiff = bumpy ride
the handling will be good for track but not for daily driving, it gets annoying
the tokiko's are great for daily driving. they arent too stiff. they are comprable to stock shocks.
im in the comfort / luxury status now and id rather have the blues because theyre overall more comfortable, smoother.

on the agx you cant really use the first of the 2 softer settings on a drop above 2 inches because you will end up ruining your shock faster. if it has that much travel the shock is going to prematurely wear. if its stiffer it wont travel as much.

The shock will travel just the same regardless of the setting, depending on how stiff the spring is. The shock's adjustment only determines how quickly it controls the oscillating motion that happens when the spring is compressed and then rebounds.
HP is the blue Tokico shock. Illuminas are white.
