well both of my project cars got frickin scrapped, one was a b20 turbo civic, got stolen, made 262 whp, 254 lb ft torque, 245 lb ft torque @ 4500 RPM. 2nd was a sr20DE--- turbo sentra SE-R made about 310 WHP 240 torque.
needless to say im a bit spoiled by torque, ive never really liked the b16 cuz of the lack of torque. im curious how much hp and torque do the regular guys make. im plannin on probably sleeving it to a 2.0L cuz im such a torque freak.
reason for me askin about a b16 turbo is cuz im buyin a 94 GSR possible that has a b16 in it ( blew up the gsr motor) with gsr tranny etcc. the rest of the car is very clean and the priec is right, i figure if i get dissapointed ill just sleeve it 2 liter later, but for the time being its gonna be just stock turbo'd around 12 psi.
i've noticed some GSR set ups not pushing out a lot of torque either. hence why i really like ls turbo set ups, cuz of the low end and midrange power.
post your experiences with your stock block b16 turbo equipped vehicles. thanks

I've got a 9:1 compression b16a in my car and it still rips. Torque is down from the 1.8's, of course, but it's VERY fun.
At 15 PSI, I made 265hp/215tq at the wheels.
At 7 psi, I made 210hp/140tq.
The reason behind the lacking 15 psi numbers was my intercooler setup was getting inefficient in the upper boost ranges.

b16, and torque don't go in the same sentence. However, a b00sted b16 is VERY, very fun to beat around town. I've seen stock b16's with an fmu, and no tune go 12.60's in hatches, and mine went 13.1 in my teg shell. No tuning.
STOCK BORE B16 212lbs/ft 298whp 14.7psi.
You don't really feel the power until like 5k rpms or so. But then after that it pulls relentlessly to redline.
Low end torque will help you for daily driving, but once it comes to racing, if you don't make it in the higher rpms you're not really going anywhere.
For example: A friend of mine has an LS turbo teg that did 295whp /266lbs torque. I did some test pulls with him on the highway and I pull him after third gear because my powerband is just longer than his.
Torque is overrated in my opinion.

I had a b16 bored and stroked to a 2.0L... it made 344whp and 325ft/tq, from my experience, I KNOW you'll be happy with a 2.0L b16
check out the link in my sig (page 2) to see the dyno graph...
the build I'm into now I decided to keep stock stroke with 84mm bore... man I hope I don't get dissapointed
