My buddys lude and my lude both have this repetative wet spot on the passenger side of the floor when the ac or heat is on. It just wont go away.

So My buddy gets ansy and pulled the carpet out of his and threw it away.

Today we get to looking at it and the peice that looks like it comes from the engine bay into a black box of some sort , (next to the fan) is just leaking perfusively.

My question is what the hell is it and how hard is it to fix? It looks like a pain in the ***. And we all know I dont need any more *** pain.

its the heater core
its clogged up

it cost 180 CND to fix it for me..
they just take it out and clean it up and it works 100% again
=D

 

my ac leaks pretty bad too, and im not even using the heat =\

 

well i only turned on the heat to se if it worked then. How the hell am I gonna get it to work by cleaning it? I meanmy ac and heat work PERFECT! So I cant see that being the problem.

But hey what do I know?

 

you know when you use your ac?
it does still work
but when you use a/c...there is water that is supposed to leak outside of the car....that hose is clogged and its not making it outside the car and its dripping inside your car instead....thats why....=D
makes sense?

 

ahhh yes! well maybe Iwill take it apart and see any one else think thats it?

 

the AC doesnt actually produce water, its condensation that leaves puddles on the ground under your car. Yes it is supposed to drain, and it will leave a puddle and nice moldy smell. Check you drainage lines on that bad boy.

 

mine also leaks, the drain hose fell off and was leaking in the pas. side floor, so just had that replaced and works well!

 

I guess I will have to lookat it better. The crazy thing is that it stillflowswater out the drain tube ...so I dont know!

 

it;'s getting inside your car? Probaly just a slight crack in the tubing..

 

well my buddy took his to the shop todayand the mechanic hooked up some air to the system and blew out some valve and it solved all his problems and his was MUCH worse than mine
