wierd idle...
The FITV is responsible for the fast idle when it's cold. But yours sounds like it's not closing as the engine warms up. Got any other symptoms, like surging, unsteady idle? If so, maybe vacuum leaks?
im thinkin its vaccume leaks. there is a sensor on top of the intake manifold. its got 1 wire and 2 vaccume lines on it... one of the vaccume lines is pluged with a screw... if someone could get me a diagram on where the vaccume lines run i would really apreciate it.... the idle does serge.. but not alot

Underside of the hood?

I have a 92 DA with a B20 right now...at cold starts it idles real low to where it almost kills then goes up to around 1300 after a couple secs. If I dont let it do it's thing it has a real bad hesitation to almost where it wont go anywhere
I've heard that the idle control valve goin' out is a common problem with motor swaps but I have yet to get this device....anyone know how hard these are to change?

there is a net type mesh thing in the iacv. you should take some carb cleaner and clean it, then put it back in, it should solve your problem, or help it at least.
