I was looking at projector headllights to give the front end of my car a little facelift. My question to you is if they actually serve some kind of purpose or just to look cool??? Personally I was looking at something simaler to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...38661 Tell me what you guys think......

retrofit some HIDs and i think you will be very happy, that is if you are looking for nice light output as well. plus they look cool and will be sorta different.

Well I did get some xenon bright whites to improve night visibility but I suppose im looking at it more for looks as opposed to light brightness. But having both is a plus.....

i bet those cheap ebay ones will give out some crappy light output. i havn't bough any so this is pure speculation. you can get some realy jdm accord headlights for something around $400 i think...that are quite nice.

Thats basically what I figured. Kind of strange when they say there jdm and less than half the price. Is there any other way I can increase my light brightness. The super white lights helped a little bit but im not totally satisfied......

best alternative to HID would be the sylvania silverstars in my opinion. looking at about ~$40 for a pair...~$80 for your hi and lo's

there is a company that will retrofit HIDs into any car and do it so that its completely legal and all that stuff and from what i hear they do a very nice job with it. unfortunately i cant find the website offhand...i know someone posted about it a while back so search and see if you can find it

if HID projector? yesh. HID projector are much wider and got a sharp cut-off. go look at the S2000 HID and 330ci. but i think halogen projector is just wider than the stock headlites

There's also a little trick with 5th gen accords. Your low beams are 9005s, right?

Search here for the conversion of a 9006 to 9005 bulb. All you do is scrape off some extra plastic clip and you'll get a better output. Get Sylvania Silverstars in 9006, theyre the brightest (and more reliable) bulbs that are legal. This might solve it cheaply, under 40 bucks if you look right...

I hope that helps for a cheap alternative

my $.02 would be to clear or blackhouse your OEM lights and install some HIDs.... quite simple.

if you want to do a HID retrofit into a different housing (projectors, halos, etc) then there's a guy here in richmond who has an EXCELLENT reputation for that kind of stuff. he goes by 99aznaccord on honduh.com - anyone on that site will vouch for him. And he does it pretty cheap too

Yeah, I'd say spray paint the stock headlight housings black and buy some jdm black clear corners for about $10 off of ebay. Then put in a pair of Silverstar bulbs, which are usually about $35. Hell, thats what I did, and I'd say it looks pretty good, and night visibility is much better, all for under $50.

Ya I bought the silverstars and they are alot brighter then my stock bulbs. But there is no way I'm spending 400$ to get HIDs, thats just too expensive. Its been a month and they haven't blown yet... unlike some brands I've read elsewhere.

If I had the money, I would spend more than 400 dollars to retrofit a set of projectors with HID bulbs. Seeing the road at night/rain is almost priceless.
