Definately looks like a T3. Simple, too. And it looks like it was mounted in the inverted position, from the direction the downpipe goes off in. (Which means it was likely off of a longitudinally-mounted engine) No coolant, no wastegate.

I'm sure you can use it if it isn't damaged. You'll need to get a new downpipe if you plan to install it in the standard transverse-mount-engine configuration (under the manifold instead of on top), and you'll need a manifold with an external wastegate.

Match one of the numbers from the plate on the CHRA to the chart. This only works on turbos from junkyards. You definately have a nice T3 there. as for sizes...well we need more info.

you dont need a new downpipe, because way its sitting all you have to do is clock the center, or the turbine housing, you may need a new downpipe because that one is too small. 2.5 or bigger is recomended.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by beepy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Definately looks like a T3. youre wrong you cant clock the exhaust side of a turbo, the flange and everything are all one piece.

You can clock the exhaust side of the turbo all you want, but the down pipe will still be pointing the wrong way. What you can do however, is just unbolt the downpipe, and rebolt it in a better position.

Assuming it is a symmetrical flange.

exactly, if it was a v-band setup then yea, but not a 5 bolt discharge, you can't turn it without making a new manifold.

looking at that turbo its not all in one piece, the compressor can be clocked, the turbine housing can be clocked, and the center definately can be clocked. yes I just noticed the that the downpipe will be still pointed in the up position.. but why would you wanna use a downpipe that small anyways?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by boosted_dc2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

appearantly you have no expieriene with turbos. you cant clock the exhaust housing it cant be done.
