Default '99 V6 Coupe EX Auto vs. 4 cyl. Coupe EX Mannual

WHich one do you think I should go for, and what are the pros and cons of each. I would really like to have manual transmission, but they seem harder to find around here than the V6s, plus the V6 has more options. Which one do you think I should go for and why?

Go do some research if you are going to spend major cash on a car.

We do not know your prefernces, nor do we know what would suit you best.

Otherwise, I'd take the V6 and call it a day.

Yeah, the V6s are REALLY hard to find with a manual. (..hint...they dont make a stick version) Depends on what you want to do to the car. Manual is nice, but if you arent planning on putting any sort of FI on it, then you will get owned all day long. The V6 has a lot better torque but its all mated to an auto tranny.

some pros for the 4cyl manual is better gas mileage and more reliable vs the V6. it is also cheaper and u can swap a H22 prelude engine in it. and itis also alot lighter.
some cons against the 4cyl is its slower than the V6 in stock form and as u said more options.

some pros for the V6 is faster stock and some cons are not as good gas mileage and reliability

and it depends on if u want to modify them or not and in my opinion and expierience the F23A4 engine is more modifier friendly and some 6th gen accord 4cyl owners have made 250+ hp out of there F23's on stock internals!!! think wat u can make with a H22.

I wasn't saying I wanted a V6 w/ manual, I know they don't make those, look at the title "'99 V6 Coupe EX Auto vs. 4 cyl. Coupe EX Mannual", lol

Anyways, I'll probably go with the V6 because of the options and because it's V6, maybe get a manual for my next car.

03K24A4EX : What isnt so reliable about the v6 compared to the 4cyl? The tranny is an issue, but what else?

I'd take the manny any and every day The only thing you'd get with the 6 is more torque. Technically you'd get more ponies but that is negated by the slushbox Definitely go with the 4, because if you don't you'll be wishing for manny

the F23 still makes alot of torque for a 4cyl. its not like where its a civic where it makes more horsepower and very little torque. the F23A4 engine that is in the 99 Accord LX/EX makes 148hp and 150lb-ft.

Get the 4banger. I own a V6 and regret not gettint he 4banger. Theres really no great power adders for our V6's without the tranny failing. Get the 4 and turbo it. The V6's arent that much faster than the 4bangers, its all in the head. It should be faster but it aint as far as the 6th gens go.

oviously you haven't use your v6 to race a 4cycl accord.

4cycl manual with good driver can stay with v6 from start but only to 60 mph. After that, 4cycl is dust.
