AUTO TO MANUAL CONVERSION ('99 CIVIC EX COUPE)
I know this topic has already been discussed, but I'm too lazy to scroll through everyone's posts trying to look for it. Don't hate.
Anyways, I have a '99 Civic EX coupe. Automatic with the D16Y8. She's sexy as hell. I'll try to post a good picture of her. I'm new to this site so I'm not sure how to do that. Haven't posted in car forums for a while either!
So check it out. I've had the car for a little over a year now, and I've decided to do the automatic to manual conversion. I really wanna be about that stick life. Haha. She's got 184,000 original miles on her already.
How much is it going to cost me to do this? Can somebody reply with a complete list on every single part I need to buy. And how much would it cost me to get it done at a shop? Although I am very eager to take this project on myself with the help of some friends.
So is it worth it? Or should I just buy another Civic that already comes manual from the factory? I was thinking either a clean EG coupe or EK hatch off my local Craigslist, although most people on Craigslist are complete idiots with trying to sell their Honda.

Re: AUTO TO MANUAL CONVERSION ('99 CIVIC EX COUPE)
Honda-tech is absolutely geared towards helping people who have questions about their cars. You don't have a question that hasn't already been answered. Why should people lend you their knowledge, time and effort when you won't put that in for yourself?
You didn't start this thread for a fresh update. You started this thread because you were too lazy to sort through the information already available on this topic.
eH.

As a new member, you took a bad turn very early. Unless you can adjust your attitude in a significant way, then I'll ask you to refrain from posting in this or other tech forums.
