Default Crank pulley bolt

I need some advice on how to get the bolt that holds the crank pulley together off. I'm changing my timing belt and I can't get it loose. I dont have a good compressor so tell me a good way to get it loose without air. Keep in mind that its really really tight and I cant get it towed.

there really isn't a good way to get it off other than a powerful impact wrench. get a shop to loosen it and then you can do the rest.

you have a gs-r?

i know on the singlecams there is holes in the crank pulley, i jammed a screwdriver in there.. also an extension would work and then used a breaker bar on the bolt.. worked both ways, on and off.. had to change waterpump

I changed my belt and i just soaked the bolt in PB Blaster ( i think that's right) then just kept hitting over and over with an impact and it finally broke free. I tried the belt wrenches that craftsman makes to hold the pulley while you try to loosen the bolt...bad idea...the wrench broke b/c the bolt was to tight.

put a rally huge breaker bar on the bolt and make sure the breker bar contacts the ground securely. and make sure everyone stand back and crank the car just a little and it should break. did that a few times when the ******* compressor failed.
if not just get the tool or a strong impact gun

which side of the car does the crank pulley have to be on for the "cranking" method to work. The crank pulley in my civic is on the left hand side and the pulley spins anti-clock, this would tighten my pulley bolt. I've been trying to get it off for 2 days. still no luck.

you can't do that crank method with these motors...best thing to do is get them chains that hold the pulleys while taking a breaker bar and breakin the bolt loose...just be careful not to break the pulley with the chain if not use properly.....
