Default Help with this tire ongoing project.

crx with b18a and turboedit
t3/t04
I'm getting tire of this, everytime I thought I was at the line of finishing something else happen. I had to adjust my timing belt since it was off a tooth, after doing so I started the car up. It runs fine and idled for about 10 minutes while I turned on my Laptop to start datalogging. Then I turned the car off to put in a new chip since I"m running TurboEdit, i procceded to turn on the car after the new chip was installed but to my surprise it doesnt start but just cranks. The pump is not priming, the alternator fuse is fine, I put in 4 different main relay but nothing works. The CEL stays on as well, can somebody help me start my car.

Put the old chip back in. You might just have a bad ROM.

Would a bad rom be able to stop the fuel pump from priming?

I don't know a lot about Honda fuel systems, but my Bosch ECU controls the fuel pump. (It is a pulse-regulated pump, don't know if you have a similar system?)

thats over my head, the ecu turns on the relay to the pump. Is there any power to the pump, with the 2 second prime time(or while cranking) after the key is on engine off?? if no then ck to see if power is at relay. if so the power is not geting to relay then you must go back to battery conections

There normal two clicks at the relays are not longer there when they key is on the "on position". My fist assumption was a bad relay, but I tried several (5) other relays and it didn't help much. Could it be a bad ECU?

Throw in the old chip and see if that's the problem. Eliminate some posibilities here.

I have already did put in the old chip. Here is the current situation again, there is power to the ECU when the key is turned, but the usually two clicks from the relays are no longer there, and the CEL stays on, the pump doesn't prime neither. I have tried several chips, I highly doubt the chip is causing this.

sounds like you have lost ground or power to relay,

I ground for the main relay is the 6mm bolt on the thermostat housing with the 2 or 3 ring terminals. cut the J1 jumper and see if the pump starts, that way you will know if its the chip/socket or a coincidental wiring problem
