Default is it needed to reset the ecu after installing intake

i just intall my aem intake. is it needed to reset the ecu?

What year?

But most mods it is recommended to reset the ecu so the computer can adjust itself .

The computer will adjust itself either way, but resetting the ECU will do it much quicker.

thanks for the quick relpy. is there any procedures i need to know? like letting the engine warm before resetting it?

no..you can reset it with out warming up your engine...i do it like that and it works fine with me

Nope just open your fuse cover in your engine bay and pull the ECU fuse (this way your radio and clock won't get reset) by the normal way of pulling your positive battery cable.

Just leave it unplugged for at least 30 seconds

(i know that sounds stupid, but someone mentioned the car being warmed up, so it confused me...)
