Default My Motor Build. Think I May Be Fuxored! Built D16a6

I completely forgot about a few factors when I started building this motor. Now I fear I may be fuckzored.
Specs:

Sohc Zc block:
Arias 11.5:1 comp pistons
Forged rods (havent bought, probably will)
Just a quick light hone and new crosshatch
Micropolished and balanced crank
New OEM Bearings and rings

D16A6 Head:
Milled .040
3 Angle valve job
1mm Oversized Valves
Ferrerea Retainers
Dual Titanium Valve Springs
Delta 272 Cam, cam gear

When I bought the pistons today I was a moron and completely forgot about my 1mm oversized valves and 40 thow milled deck.

Can anyone give me a good estimate or even exact with some sort of compression calculator on what my compression is going to be?

I was planning of building the motor for nitrous, but If my compression is going to be 13:1 then there isnt to much room for nitrous lol, maybe a 55 shot tops.

If I did go all motor, would I need to upgrade the stock pistons?

Any advise appreciated, loved, grateful

Thanks

nitrous loves compression, you could run that much compression and nitrous, and make great power.... but i think your window for mistakes would be kinda small. you would definately have to beef up your fuel system and possible run race gas when you use nitrous, and have some sort of timing retard. i would also take the time to clay your piston to valve clearance. make sure that the pistons dont hit the valves.

Forgot to mention **** n polish.

You think I would be able to squeeze a 100 shot?

The highest gas I can find around here is 91

If I was to use nitrous I would look into getting Hondata with nitrous controls but dont know much about fuel management

Obviously some rc 550's or possibly dsm 450's and an msd ignition

Havent put much thought into it. Motor is still completely disassembled

Tranny is also gonna need some serious overhauling

i think i would start with a smaller shot, then work your way up, checking plugs, taking a bit more timing out, etc.... i wouldn't just run the 100shot. if you completely build the motor i dont see any reason why the "parts" should not be able to handle a 100shot, but theres a lot more too it than that.

one more thing to keep in mind is that while you might need those 550's under nitrous, they will probably be too big for your motor in n/a form. i would probably look to use a slightly smaller injector, and a direct port wet kit, to add the fuel w/the nitrous.

edit: you would probably have to invest in some race gas from a speed shop if you wanted to run your 13:1 and nitrous, and i would strongly recommend it. with 91 octane your pushing it with 12:1 w/o nitrous

That motor in the first touch of nitrous on pump gas will kiss the sky. Compression is way to high for a street car w/ nitrous. Also tuning a direct port kit is simple. You dont need hondata for it. The fuel is added via the jets and a larger pump. If your planning on running a large shot do more research then asking guys on h-t who 99 perecnt of the guys here havent even tuned a large shot hence why there telling you to run big injectors. There is a guy here running a ls/vtec w 11.5 compression and 120 shot on guess what stock injectors who would of known.

Well maybe you can help me out. I dont even know what my compression is going to be, Im guessing 12:1 with a 3 layer headgasket

Is there any way I could possibly get rods what were just a tad *** shorter? I dont know if a company would do this, but something just to drop my compression to a nice 11:1 or so, so I can still run a large *** shot

who is building your motor? if your having someone professional put it together, get them to figure out the compression ratio. that will be the best source. i have never heard of anyone shortening there rod to lower the c.r, but you never know if it were my motor i'd spring for different pistons. but what i dont think your getting is that even with 11:1 and a big shot your gonna need more than 91 octane.

Im doing the motor build. Head is already done and complete, just piecing the block together now, crank was done thursday at a local speed shop for $80 bucks.

The pistons though, already orderred.....

$400, I couldnt resist the high compression puppies.

Arent there fuel additives that you can buy for fairly cheap to increase the octane quite a bit

What type of ecu systems do you guys use?

At first I was thinking using the Pg7 ecu I have and an S-AFC, but then I thought, Im most likely going to be making power past the 7200rpm redline

So can anyone help me out

Remeber BUDGET, lol, cheaper and noob easy the better

you will most likely be in the high 12 to low 13:1 range depending on headgasket choice and exact piston specs.

find info on those stackable headgaskets...

plus that 272 may bring the dynamic compression down....
