A6 block + Y8 head => Y8 timing belt?
A6 block and a Y8 head, I would need a Y8 timing belt. However, it looks like it ain't working...am I missing something?
I've built a Y7/Y8 mini me so I know how to install everything ...

Make sure you have the right timeing belt.
Loosen the adjuster pulley and make sure it's loose.
It should have gone right on.

It's odd, I have (2) Y8 and (1) Y7 timing belts (all the same) and none will go on.
The strangest thing though is that the Y8 headbolts were too SHORT ie they didn't even thread in. I had to use the bolts that were from the stock head; however, I have ANOTHER set of A6 headbolts which also do NOT thread in.
^ Isn't that the weirdest ****?!
