I have a 93 lude si vtec w/ 4ws and a 5 spd. my car just turns off while driving, it has done this twice in the last year, my shop couldnt find any culprit. is this a common problem? im new to this forum so please help me or point me in the right direction.

Does it do anything prior to shutting off? Do the dash lights, radio shut off as well? Will it start right back up??

 

have you replaced your ignition wires?

 

I just had this same problem and it turned out to be my alarm. it would act as tho I had just turned my key to the off position

 

does your rpm dip real low before shutting off? if it does, try adjusting your idol

 

Do you have an Apexi vafc? My connections one time shut my car off. I went in and checked were it connects to the ecu wires one of the wires was loose. I used a gun to make the connections way better. It took a while but it fixed the problem. Dont know what wire it was just fixed it. Never had a problem again!
