My car runs and idles fine, but every once in a while, like a few times every few days, it just shuts off. No lights, it just turns off like you just turned the key off. I know honda has an ignition recall which sounds like this issue but my car has already been serviced. I dont know if much things that would cause this car to just die like this. I can be driving normal and it would just shut off, pop down the clutch, turn the key, and it shuts up fine. Can anybody help? I have an appt with honda sat but would like some feedbacks so i can try to fix it myself first.

 

Check your EGR (think its code 12) if you fix that usually that'll solve your problem.

who would have thought that it was a car problem and that you needed help....

 

What about your ground wires? I've read of faulty grounds leading to this... try to check those
